Over the years I have developed rather impressive procrastination skills, and so with three assignments due in the next 24hrs, I figure theres no better time to bring you all up to speed with whats going on in the I Am Villain camp :)
The EP recording process is still coming along very much one day at a time. Perhaps a little slower than we anticipated, but as i mentioned in our last post, things rarely go perfectly according to plan, especially in music. That said though, every time we go back into the studio we come out even more excited about the CD. The beauty of stretching the process out is we all have time to come up with small add ons that will make the songs that much better :)
Last weekend saw the completion of our guest and group vocals recording which went swimmingly thanks to excellent dudes we had on board to help us out. We wont go naming names (not that its any huge secret) just yet but all shall be revealed in time!
The fun news is that we have some shows coming up :) :) :)
The first of which is April 17th with US pop/punksters Fireworks and our sydney mates in Heroes For Hire! We are literally jumping out of our skin with excitement about playing this show and being that its and all ages event we are just hoping that EVERYONE will get on board and come check it out!
We have two shows in May! One on the 14th in Toowoomba with our old drinkin buddies who have just started a new band 2nd String Heroes and are putting on a show at the USQ student bar, so that will undoubtedly be a party of epic proportions! And the other is on the 28th of May at X&Y Bar in the Valley with our mates from ‘One Year Later’ who have invited us to play the show with them. We’ve never played X&Y before but its a pretty rad place so we’re hoping to pack the joint out with friends and just anyone who’s keen for a party :)
Well thats about all our news for now, but keep checking our myspace, facebook & twitter for news. Also we have a mailing list now so do the right thing and just sign up ok? :)
