Past, Present and Pumped for the future!
Hey Guys and Gals, Just wanted to get in and give you guys a bit of a wrap up of whats happened since our first show and some rough plans for the year!
So after the MEST support show, which we were hugely happy with, we pretty much went into lock down mode working on writing some new songs and perfecting the ones we had already (and working on our stage moves since Andy’s overzealous use of the “foot on the fold back” in the first show haha). The beauty of having our guitarists (Pete & Lewis) and our drummer (Scott) living together is they can more or less show new stuff to each other all the time, which means there are constantly new riffs etc flying around and it makes for really exciting practice sessions when we all manage to get together!
Our hunt for a permanent bass man has FINALLY come to an end, and as it turned out, we didnt have to look to far after all with our good friend Brett Galea (formally of Escaping Vaudeville) putting his hand up and ultimately landing the job! We are all so syked to have him on board and pleased to say he’s already making his mark on the band!
Last weekend we were lucky enough to land the support for Short Stack’s side shows in Coloundra and Gold Coast. It was a first for us playing to such a big and involved audience and needless to say we were pretty overwhelmed and had such an amazing time on both nights! So a huge thankyou to all the Short Stack guys for having us and to Jimmy and Shaun for helping us out on and off the stage.
The BIG news is, this weekend we move into Loose Stones Studio on the Gold Coast to record our debut EP! It’s come a little sooner than we expected but the timing couldnt be better with the band members cemented and 6 songs ready to blow your mind! We are all itching to get in and get some work done.
Following that, we are are just keen to keep writing and recording a few demos and hopefully start organising some interstate shows towards the middle of the year!
